Course Leader: Carola Gietl, Practice for Body, Mind and Soul
Sound magic and oases of stillness, imaginative journeys accompanied by sound for children. In my work, I frequently encounter children who feel overwhelmed by school, performance pressure, and daily life. Often this is also reflected in their bodies: restlessness, stomachaches, tension, skin problems, or fatigue.
With my sound journeys, I aim to counteract this. The children experience how they can find a place within themselves during stressful moments where calm, strength, and lightness reside.
Gentle sounds, small rituals, and dreamy imaginative journeys provide them with a brief break – a little oasis where they can simply be themselves. Using various sound instruments: singing bowls, Koshi, chimes, gong, and much more, guided imaginative journeys help the children discover a quiet oasis within themselves.
PROCESS:
- Arriving with sound
- Imaginative journeys with sound instruments
- Moments of calm and awareness
- Closing exercise with objects or colors
- Relaxation and inner calm
- Strengthening imagination and creativity
- Promoting resilience and self-confidence
- Easier handling of stress and sensory overload
- Comfortable clothing
- Slippers or warm socks
- Favorite stuffed animal/diaper or an important companion.
